Ptomain/Fukte Split - Danger
Ptomain/Fukte
Danger
Review

Genres: Harsh Noise
Label: Toxic Industries

The first side of this tape, a half hour track by Ptomain, is honestly not very good. At first I was really liking what was going on, but it soon became overdone, and stuck into the background, not something I could actually listen to.
"Toxic Race" is the track, and it gets a 6 out of 10.

Side two, a pair of tracks by Fukte, is the opposite. Much more engaging, the first track clocks in at just over twenty minutes. Entitled "Epichlorohydrin", it is an epic lump of noise, reminding me of the sounds that could go in in a heavy industrial factory, like a forge or smelter.
The second track, "Tetrachlorethane", is not quite as good, but it's definitely a nice closer for the tape.
Together "Epichlorohydrin" and "Tetrachlorethane" score Fukte a 7 out of 10.
All in all, the split gets a 7 out 10.

Fukte can be found on MySpace.
