Cryptic Ogloktein Scribe - A standard styled black metal album intro with chanting, the the chanting itself is not standard souding. It's definately strange, and very effective.
Murders of Creation - A good, straightforward black metal track.
die Türen der Menslichene Häute - Again, straightforward black metal. Very well done. The ending of the guitars bleeds into the next track, which is a tradition on the rest of the album. Very cool.
Willcommen zum Leben - This is an instrumental that primarily features something that sounds like a cross between a piano an a xylophone, which as I said above, bleeds into the next track.
1929 - The album begins to show that OG TengeT is not your usual black metal musician on this track. Samples are used quite effectively, starting with radio dial sounds, then going into some Texas Chainsaw Massacre samples. Cool. This turns into a black metal guitar riff with what seems like a bit of a deathy groove with the interplay between the bass guitar and the drums. The guitar leads are nice too, and the overall guitar tone in this song is great. OG's voice shines in this track, showing off the fact that he has some range in what he does, using both black metal shrieks as well as a more deathy growl. This song is long, and at the 7:25ish mark is really nice deathy breakdown, which then hits a sweet black metal riff.
Man With Horns - Starting with an interview clip of either Maynard James Keenan or else Kurt Cobain talking about opiates, then crashing into a great riff, which for whatever reason made me think of 1800's Russian men dancing with the big fur hats. Don't ask me why. Bleeds into the next track...
Schwarzes nichts - Starts with Gonzo, the great Hunter S. Thompson. Keybpards with a simple line and distorted conversation in the background provide the song's ride. Reminds me of Ænima by Tool, which is a reminder that only increases for the rest of the album.
The Doomed - Apparently recorded in 2007 (as was 1929), this song is actually perfect for doom fans who like black metal. A deathy, slow riff with steady drums. Odd sound effects, vocals somewhat low in the mix, all adding together for a doomy experience that reminds me of Alice In Chains, if Jerry Cantrell was posessed by Satan.
2nd of the Ogloktein Scribes - Extremely well done black metall riffing, which follows the same pattern as the chanting on the first track. Vocals are gorgeously throat shredding. Near the three minute mark is a nice guitar/drum interplay treat, then a nice solo. All ending in a bastardized reprise of the chanting at the start of the album.
Then we get into the secret tracks. A keyboard sound reminicent of classic horror movie soundtracks jars into a cover of Nine Inch Nails' classic track "Wish", which shifts into "Bullet" (Misfits), which shifts into "Halloween" (Misfits again). This goes into some drums, which are all one-second tracks done well with good mixing techniques.
Track 19 starts up, and shows us that OG has a stiff for industrial music.
Samples, distorted drums, keys, and other odd shit go into another couple one-second tracks until we reach track 23.
A very Nine Inch Nails sounding drum beat with samples, and a raging hardon for industrial is exposed, not just a minor stiff. This track in particular reminds me of a cross between Tool's Lateralus, and NIN's Pretty Hate Machine with touches of the abrasiveness of Tool's Ænima. This ends after six minutes and twenty-five seconds, then goes into total silence for one second tracks until we reach track 99.
Which is Misfits' "Halloween" track in it's full glory.
